Spike's Way

Judge's Comments: "Crossovers have to be almost seamless, without
contrived reasons for the crossover. Logical progression, intertwining two completely
different universes into one, are key to making a crossover work. Just plopping
one set of characters into another set's home turf does not constitute a good
melding of universes. OracleHolly's Spike's Way blended two distinct universes
in such a way that it made absolutely no sense to keep them apart. Methos and
Joe Dawson stepped into the world of Buffy and company as if they had been written
for the show originally. Weaving the flashback, showing the first meeting between
Spike and Methos against the backdrop of Lindbergh's flight into Paris was straight
out of the Highlander genre, yet, in light of Fool For Love, didn't once feel
out of place. Far and away the choice in this category was easy. Spike's Way
is what every cross-over should be."
